About Me

Brett Stanley
Texas, United States
Stealers Wheel wrote "Stuck in the Middle with You" in 1972, the year my parents met. I have been stuck in the middle with my political views as long as I can remember. Despite my parents employment in the military and for the U.S. government I find myself leaning away from ultra conservative ideology. I guess I am scared of tipping to far to the left because I shy away from ultra liberal policies as well. I am proud to vote but only do so on issues I have time to research (which can leave some big blanks on my ballot). I am proud of our country's ability to absorb change and adversity only to grow stronger. I am proud to be an American and know that every American has the right to express their views without fear. I hope to learn more about how our government works today and how it might look in the future.
